Child Q1 SCR learning event – 13th May 2019

This SCR relates to a school-age child who was subjected to familial sexual abuse and where there were concerns regarding safeguarding and other record keeping at the Free School/Academies Child Q1 attended. There were also concerns about Child Q1’s SEN needs being met and their vulnerabilities being identified. The parents of Child Q1 both had mental health needs and misused alcohol. The mother had experienced severe post-natal depression following the birth of Child Q1 and was subjected to domestic violence and abuse by the father of Child Q1.
Learning packs will be made available as part of the briefing and will include a power point presentation, 7 minute briefing and a summary Learning Report, so that each agency can cascade and share the learning.
