Course Preview:
This Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) is about a woman `Sarah`who was a victim of a number of assaults over a prolonged period of time, culminating in her death in 2015.
DHRs were established on a statutory basis under Section 9 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act (2004). The purpose of a DHR is to establish what lessons are to be learned from the domestic homicide about how local professionals and organisations work individually and together to safeguard victims.
Course Aims:
To share and understand the learning from local domestic homicide reviews.
This briefing is aimed at anyone who works with adults, children and families in Manchester and who will have some responsibility in cascading the learning back within their agency or organisation.
