This Domestic Homicide Review (DHR) looks at the death of ‘Shawn’ who was killed by his partner ‘Lisa’ in 2017. This case looks at the issue of self-neglect and how it is recognised by services. Substance use and mental health issues are considered along with difficult to engage clients.
Please attend this briefing if you will be sharing the learning among your staff and colleagues.
Anyone interested in applying to attend this briefing will need to be registered and apply via the MSB training website at training.manchesterscb.org.uk. Please note that all applications will need the authorisation of the attendees line manager.
DHRs were established on a statutory basis under Section 9 of the Domestic Violence, Crime and Victims Act (2004). The purpose of a DHR is to establish what lessons are to be learned from the domestic homicide about how local professionals and organisations work individually and together to safeguard victims. Find out more in our Domestic Homicide Review resource.
