MSP Self-Neglect conference January 2023

The Manchester Safeguarding partnership (MSP) Self Neglect conference took place on 24th January 2023.

The conference was designed to address learning identified in recent MSP Safeguarding Adult Reviews (SARs) and to enable participants to consider and reflect upon areas of practice in the context of complex self-neglect.

The conference included insights from recently published MSP SARs, expert opinion regarding legal considerations, practice considerations, guidance regarding escalation and supervision, information regarding carer support and learning around multiple exclusions.

The conference also provided an opportunity to introduce the MSP Self-Neglect guidance and Toolkit  (December 2022), and to refer delegates to the MSP Managing High Risk Together for All Partners Pathway.

The partnership is grateful to all speakers and participants for making this a popular, and meaningful event.

With the permission of speakers and participants, The MSP are pleased to be able to share resources from the event.  MSP self-neglect conference 2023 Resource Pack v5
