My Marriage My Choice Awareness Film & Project Website
Exploring Forced Marriage of adults with learning disabilities and developing knowledge, policy and practice to keep people safe
My Marriage My Choice is a two year study, funded by the National Institute for Health Research – School of Social Care Research (NIHR-SSCR).
An awareness film showcased at the recent launch events is now on the project website – this is an educational film that includes powerful real cases, expert analysis of the issues and messages for families and for practitioners working with them.
The film and clips are designed to be used for awareness and training with groups or individuals. Please be aware that some content may be upsetting, particularly where real-life experiences are recounted.
More resources, including practice guidelines/toolkit for practitioners and a case study collection are also available on the website.
