Crown Prosecution Service

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS)Â is responsible for prosecuting criminal cases brought by the Police in England and Wales.
To do this effectively, they work closely with Criminal Justice Partners including the Police, the Courts, Probation Service, Youth Offending Teams and victim and witness support agencies.
CPS North West covers Cumbria, Lancashire and Greater Manchester – serving a population of over 4.5 million people and is one of 13 CPS areas in England and Wales.
The CPS are a partner of the MSAB.
