Early Help Assessment Journey – resources for practitioners
“Early Help is intervening early and as soon as possible to tackle problems emerging for children, young people and their families or with a population most at risk of developing problems. Effective intervention may occur at any point in a child or young person’s life.”
All the information and resources to support practitioners with the Early Help Assessment Journey can be found in the Early Help Practitioner zone – which is part of Help and Support Manchester. Information about Levels of Need can be found in our multi-agency Decisions Framework resource.
Resources include:
- Early Help Assessment guidance
- the Request for Early Help Support Form – to be completed by partner agencies requesting Early Help interventions for families unable to be supported by universal or single agency services
- information on how to get support with identifying the right agencies to help meet the needs of a family
- the current Manchester Early Help Strategy 2018/21
- Early Help information leaflets for parents and teenagers – these provide families with an initial insight into Early Help; and an opportunity for individuals to begin to explore the process of an holistic assessment for themselves.
