Advisory Centre for Education (ACE) – A national charity that has been advising parents and carers of children aged 5-16.

Anti-Bullying alliance – The Anti-Bullying alliance works to stop bullying. The ABA website provides teachers and other practitioners working with children and young people with a bank of resources for addressing bullying behaviour and discussing bullying and related issues.

Bullying UK – Provides help and reliable information on a variety of bullying issues.

Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre (CEOP)  delivers a multi-agency service dedicated to tackling the exploitation of children.

Childline – This website has information and support on a whole range of issues.

Disclosure and Barring Service – The Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and the Independent Safeguarding Authority (ISA) have merged into the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). CRB checks are now called DBS checks.

Drugwatch – To help promote children’s well-being by knowing what to look out for, Drugwatch have a number of educational guides on children’s health, from newborn to preteen, on their website

iHop – iHOP is a national one-stop information and advice service to support all professionals in working with children and families of offenders, including frontline staff, strategic managers and commissioners.

it’snotokay – Tackling child sexual exploitation is everyone’s responsibility. The It’s not okay campaign website has information for young people, parents and professionals across Greater Manchester to read and share.

Kidscape – Provides useful information to help you combat bullying and keep your children safe.

Kidsmart – A great resource provides information on a variety of online resources to help keep you safe.

NICE – When to suspect child maltreatment – The advice in this guidance covers the altering features in children and young people of physical, sexual and emotional abuse, neglect and fabricated or induced illness.

NSPCC Helplines – Stop child abuse – support the children’s charity.

O2 – Keeping Kids Safe – A guide to help adults understand what kids really do on their mobiles and the internet. And it’s also to help you talk to your kids openly about the risks, so they know how to protect themselves.

Parentline Plus website – Is for parents who are concerned about bullying in their child’s life, both outside and within school.

The Anti Bullying Network – To support anti-bullying work in schools and to offer an anti-bullying service which will include the provision of training, publications and consultancy services.

The Hideout – Women’s Aid have created this space to help children and young people to understand domestic abuse, and how to take positive action.

Thinkuknow – Information for children and young people, parents and carers and professionals on concerns around websites, mobiles and new technology. Report concerns online.
