Understanding Animal Welfare in Violent Homes

“When animals are abused, people are at risk; when people are abused animals are at risk.”

Every 30 seconds someone in England and Wales dials the RSPCA’s 24-hour cruelty line for help, meaning nearly 150,000 animal cruelty complaints were investigated in 2016 alone.

Virtual College has worked with The Links Group produced a free online course on Understanding Animal Welfare in Violent Homes. This course is of interest to anyone concerned about animal welfare or safeguarding children and will help them to recognise those at risk of physical and mental abuse. Why not register  to become more aware of the signs?
